Here is a little background information on Angie Turnbull
Angie Turnbull’s musical career began with the outspoken punk rock band Flatliner. A mixture of early PJ Harvey mixed with visceral British punk they established a powerful live set through touring nationally and internationally while building the foundation of an underground scene still going strong in the North East today. It was during this time that Angie was offered her first publishing contract.

Always wanting to be diverse and original Angie’s next project Red Letter Suits displayed a new musical direction incorporating elements of New Wave, Noise Pop, Rock “n” Roll and Garage Rock. The band ‘s first single “Don’t Let The Sunshine Hurt Your Eyes” received Radio 1 and BBC 6 airplay as well as charting at number 10. A national tour followed playing with The Dogs, Field Music, Royal Treatment Plant and Miss the Occupier. After touring Angie began her Masters Degree in Post Vernacular Composition at Newcastle University while continuing session singing for artists including The Bays, Rob Da Bank, The BBC, and Dominic King. During her time at University she began experimenting in contemporary avant garde and free improvisation working alongside composers including Bennet Hogg, Will Edmonds, David Stakenas and The Hub.
